Boots No7 Stay Perfect Foundation!

I recently went to MAC to take a look at some foundation and I found the most gorgeous shade that matched my skin, the coverage was great and everything was perfect....except the price lol. I'm sure one day I'll buy it but I couldn't stretch to that much at the time..so I was on the hunt for something similar!

I remembered that No7 do some great foundations so I headed there and I purchased the first one I picked up!

It's No7 Stay Perfect Foundation which has SPF 15 (always a win!) and is supposed to last all day through till night! (16 hours) and claims that it's rub resistant and non fading! Double win! (I touch my face a lot...bad I know)

Well I was sold! So I decided to buy it! And it was £14, not a bad price.

I love it! It has great coverage, gives a slightly matte finish which I love but I would suggest moisturising your face well before applying!

Here's how it looked on my hand...

Before (clean face)

During lol!

And after!

Pretty pleased!
What are you're favourite brands for foundations?

End of exams present...to me!

As the title suggests I bought myself some nail varnish to motivate/cheer me up in exam season! Only problem is I kiiiinda bought them before my exam instead of as a reward afterwards...oh well haha!

I looked on the interweb and found some cute polishes from Miss Sporty! I used to think of them as not very good quality and I haven't bought any from them since I was a lot younger but their new lines of polishes look gorgeous! I took myself down to Superdrug where they are currently selling them 3 for 2 (Woop Woop!) and here are the colours I chose...

Tangerine, glitter and a gorgeous Teal blue!

The pictures do not do the colours justice! They are so pretty! They also are extremely quick drying (minus the glitter one which takes slightly longer) and they have a wide brush which makes for an easy application!

Tangerine & Glitter lovely spring colour!

Once again these swatches really don't do the colours justice!

Check out the Miss Sporty range online and in shops such as Boots and Superdrug...at only £1.99 each you cannot go wrong!
I Might have to collect them all! haha

Body Shop & Boots!

Last Thursday was Student Shopping Night in Canterbury...woohoo!! It's a night that takes place every few terms where shops stay open till 9 instead of 5:30/6 and they have discounts from 10% right up to 30% and Body Shop had 30% off! Woohoo! They also had DJ's, food, fire displays and goodie bags! So cool!

I was surprised that I only bought two items the whole night but I suppose my purse is happy about that haha

This first thing I bought was one of Body Shops famous body butters! I was stuck between this Shea butter one because it felt amazing and a Mango one because it smelt amazing but I decided on Shea because it is literally so creamy!

I had to get something Mango-ey because it smelt incredible so I copied my friend and bought some Mango Body Mist! It smells insanely good but doesn't linger for as long as I would like.

Body Shop were also giving out 10% discount cards for throughout the year which would normally cost £5 so a few days later I went back and bought some Mango lip butter! (I reckon you can guess my favourite Body Shop fragrance haha)
I was intrigued because I can sometimes have quite dry lips and I thought a butter may be more moisturising and I was correct! The only problem is it can leave a funny taste if you're prone to licking your lips like me.

Boots were doing discounts of 10% at the Student Shopping Night but when I don't take my time to look through items I can hardly ever find things :( So I went back a few days later when it was less busy and even though I didn't get the 10% off I still picked up a bargain!

This cute pot was around £2.50 and is a sweet smelling body scrub! I love looking at the Soap and Glory line but I never buy anything so I was excited to pick this up! First of many!

Have you tried these products or bought anything recently?

Bangles! Bangles! Bangles!

I really fancied getting crafty and giving myself a hobby to get my mind off uni work, exams and stress in general and I lovee bangles and wrist wear so ta dahhh!....I decided to start decorating bangles! :D

I got inspiration from my sister Abbi who has started making clay pieces to sell (you can find her page here ! ) and also from a lovely friend called Jade who makes some awesome phone cases and made a really cool page! (You can find her site here or her facebook page here !)

I put together an enormous box of crafty bits from Ebay and Hobby craft and contains things like the wooden bangles, the materials, glue, glaze etc and I love dipping into it when I've got free time, so relaxing!

Here's some pictures of the bangles I've done....

I'm currently selling them for £4 each on my website which is http://crown31.bigcartel.com/ !
I named it Crown 31 after the Proverbs 31 woman and I love where it says "She is worth far more than rubies" :') which we are!

Hope you like them!

Travel with me: Malta!

(All pictures taken by me unless stated)
Those who have read some of my previous posts will know that I had a trip to Malta coming up, it was 20th - 27th March and it was awesome!❤

I hadn't been out of the country since visiting Jamaica in August 2011 (View post here) so it was lovely to get out of the country and visit somewhere new even if it was for uni haha,

I went with my Tourism class (& also a geography class but they stayed in another hotel so we only saw them at the airport) and we all had a laugh, the reason we went was for our Residential field course module where we have to do three presentations on different places in Malta.

For the first half of the trip we took the coach each day to lots of different places to get inspiration, find ideas and do research, the second half was mainly relaxing in the hotel or going for wanders then doing the presentations (found out at the end of the trip my group got a 2:1 woop!!)
(Pictures ranging from the Golden Bay to Cocktails in Gozo, Nutella ice cream in Valletta- the capital and the streets of Mdina)
(Churches, roof of the hotel, inside a Maltese university- bottom left & more)
The hotel we stayed in was called the Maritim Antonine Hotel and was 4* (Thanks uni!) It was a beautiful location and had various aspects for four stardom but some parts seemed a bit lower (especially the unwanted visit from ants in our room *shudders*)...now before you throw virtual bricks at me I am NOT complaining haha, we had a lovely stay and who can complain when we didn't have to pay lol

Malta itself was different to how I expected! The strong influences of various cultures were beautiful! From the Greek styled roof tops to the thin Italian streets and also North African influences.

(Top right is a flat ceiling in a church painted to look like a dome! Amazing!)

Highlights!

  • The ice cream! - Trust my first point to be on food lol but the local ice cream really was lovely, they have such a broad range of flavours! From chewing gum to Nutella! haha
  • The food! - Everything is so cheap and cheerful in Malta, in the supermarkets AND in the restaurants and cafe's...loved it! This "Sandwich" set me back only €3.50 and was so tasty!...
  • Going for wanders! - I can be a person who likes their own space sometimes, not in a rude way! But I loved taking my time and going through all the quaint shops and going around the streets looking at the houses, was so nice :')
  • Gozo! - Gozo is another island near Malta, it's still apart of Malta but the people like to be called Gozians instead of Maltese, it only costed around €4.60 for a return ferry trip and it was such a nice place! and   food and drink are soo cheap there! (Malta is cheap too but Gozo just topped it!...life of a bargain hunter haha) We done some surveys and had lunch and a few drinks, was a great place to relax.
The Blue Grotto :') (Picture from Google)
  • The people! - Where ever you go people normally say "the locals are nice" etc but in Malta they really are! So friendly and welcoming, even got a hug on the way home haha!
  • The Blue Grotto!- This was one of my faaavourite places in Malta! So beautiful! My phone died so I didn't get to take any pics but will upload one from Google...

Sorry this post was so picture heavy but trust me it took me ages to get down to even this many haha!
Malta isn't always a tourist hotspot and it was quiet when we went (off peak season) but that added to the beauty and I would go back in a heartbeat :')

Thanks Malta for your great food, great people, great history & the sunshine I have craved

Eureka!!

So this is probably the most obvious post ever haha but something kinda clicked in my head recently....

The reason I ate so much rubbish was because....I was not eating enough!! Sounds a bit backwards but stick with me on this lol...

I eat pretty well especially at the start of the day but I was finding I was losing motivation to eat healthy as the day went on, not just losing motivation but healthy food can be hard to find when you're out and about, here's what a days food would be like........

What my "meals" would look like

Pre Gym
Rice cake
Breakfast
Porridge with honey & cinnamon
Lunch
Rice cake
Whilst out running errands or in the library
Chocolates
sweets
Sandwiches from Greggs
Food when visiting friends houses

etc etc etc lol

This is not good!!

1) If I eat a decent lunch I won't be as hungry when I'm out and will stop me having food on the brain (thinking about food when I'm trying to study is awful loool such a distraction!)

2)  If I take snacks out with me then I wont have to hit the shops and will also save me money.

What my meals are like recently!

Pre gym
Banana
Breakfast
Porridge with cinnamon and honey
Lunch
Chicken strips with 1 boiled egg or omelette
Dinner
Prawns with rice and broccoli or chicken with prawns and broccoli

Much better :D

Dinner Example( Chicken with broccoli, rice and a little sweet & sour sauce (
Lunch example ( Chicken with sweetcorn and a boiled egg)

Okay so it doesn't look tooo appetising but I was hungry and rushed the shots loool!

Remember failing to plan = preparing to fail!
What do you daily meal plans look like?

Just a little encouragement.....

Note: None of the following pictures belong to me! All rights reserved to the photographers of these pretty pics<3

Hey Guys!!

Been struggling with many different things recently from staying on track with fitness and health to uni work and everything in between!

Distractions are everywhere and they can really throw you off your game, just a word of encouragement to not let anything put you off your goals, be it social networking sites when you're trying to study to that piece of chocolate you get offered when you've been on a roll with healthy living lol.

Remember why you started, remember that only you can decide if you're going to finish this journey on top and remember that set backs aren't the end of the world and that you can make a fresh start any time!

To any one reading this post remember that you can do it if you just try...and don't stop trying!!
