Eureka!!

So this is probably the most obvious post ever haha but something kinda clicked in my head recently....

The reason I ate so much rubbish was because....I was not eating enough!! Sounds a bit backwards but stick with me on this lol...

I eat pretty well especially at the start of the day but I was finding I was losing motivation to eat healthy as the day went on, not just losing motivation but healthy food can be hard to find when you're out and about, here's what a days food would be like........

What my "meals" would look like

Pre Gym
Rice cake
Breakfast
Porridge with honey & cinnamon
Lunch
Rice cake
Whilst out running errands or in the library
Chocolates
sweets
Sandwiches from Greggs
Food when visiting friends houses

etc etc etc lol

This is not good!!

1) If I eat a decent lunch I won't be as hungry when I'm out and will stop me having food on the brain (thinking about food when I'm trying to study is awful loool such a distraction!)

2)  If I take snacks out with me then I wont have to hit the shops and will also save me money.

What my meals are like recently!

Pre gym
Banana
Breakfast
Porridge with cinnamon and honey
Lunch
Chicken strips with 1 boiled egg or omelette
Dinner
Prawns with rice and broccoli or chicken with prawns and broccoli

Much better :D

Dinner Example( Chicken with broccoli, rice and a little sweet & sour sauce (
Lunch example ( Chicken with sweetcorn and a boiled egg)

Okay so it doesn't look tooo appetising but I was hungry and rushed the shots loool!

Remember failing to plan = preparing to fail!
What do you daily meal plans look like?

Just a little encouragement.....

Note: None of the following pictures belong to me! All rights reserved to the photographers of these pretty pics<3

Hey Guys!!

Been struggling with many different things recently from staying on track with fitness and health to uni work and everything in between!

Distractions are everywhere and they can really throw you off your game, just a word of encouragement to not let anything put you off your goals, be it social networking sites when you're trying to study to that piece of chocolate you get offered when you've been on a roll with healthy living lol.

Remember why you started, remember that only you can decide if you're going to finish this journey on top and remember that set backs aren't the end of the world and that you can make a fresh start any time!

To any one reading this post remember that you can do it if you just try...and don't stop trying!!

Helloooooooooooooooo :D

Hey guys! :D
Oh yeah I am a BIG Simpsons fan by the way LOL
(All rights reserved)
Sorry I've been gone for a while! - not sure if anyone noticed or actually reads these posts but it's nice to be blogging again haha!
The thing with blogging is even if you don't have a large following it's great to get your thoughts down on (virtual) paper, express your thoughts and be creative!

Uni has totally taken over so I haven't had much time but I will certainly make time to do more posts!...

What's been going on with me?...:

Where to start!!...

  • Well its about a month and 20 days until my uni trip to Malta! (hurray!) still got to send of my passport but I'm praying it will all work out in time! This also means I'm trying even harder to get fit before I fly out!

  • I purchased Ben Nye Banana powder and omgshhh this stuff lives up to the hype!! I also bought Ben Nye Final Seal Matte Make up Sealer spray....omgshhh even more amazing haha my make up has never stayed on for so long, but you will hear about these soon....

  • Me and my sister done an awesomeeee jazz gig at a uni close to ours called UCA and it was so much fun!
So much more has been going on including new hair! But I'm not 100% keen on the hair so may not do a full post on it...

Anything new going on with you guys?

Hair product haul!!......

(All pictures taken by me)

It's that time of year again! Christmas decorations start to come down, chocolate and goodies disappear from the cupboards and purses come out to hit the sales haha!
It's also time to head back to uni! Canterbury doesn't have a beauty supply store that sells black hair essentials (any business minded people this is a HUGE gap in the market loool make it happen!) so me and my sister visited our local in Ipswich to stock up!

I've recently taken out my weave and now have my hair in a protective style which is a bun, next time I get weaved up I am making sure I'm moisturising my real hair underneath goooood lol because my hair right now is DRY :(

Here are a few things I bought!.....

This stuff is amazing! I used to buy it in sachets so I'm very happy to have found the bottled version, I use it as a deep conditioner and keep it on for a good hour especially when my hair is really dry, after its all washed out your hair feels soooooooooooooooooooooooo soft! Anything by Olive Oil Organic Root Stimulator is genuinely great! Smell? Not horrible but not too nice either lol...

Now this next product I haven't tried before but it was only £1 so that's why I got it loool (shhh). Its by Afro Sheen and is a moisturising conditioner, usually more expensive products are better so only time will tell what it's like haha! Smell? Not too bad!....

This next product is by Kids Organics and is a moisturising shampoo with Shea Butter and Olive oil! This caught my eye because Shea Butter and Olive Oil are usually sooooooooooo moisturising which is what my hair is crying out for lol. Smell? Incredibleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, so sweet and lovely lol that's also why I had to get it. Kiddies products always smell so nice...

Next up was a bargain! :D Two for £2.79! They're by Organics and are an Olive Oil Shampoo and the other is an Olive Oil Leave in Conditioner. Never tried them but I hope they're good! Smell? pretty nice! But no kiddie shampoo lol

Next up I got a new bristle brush to smooth my edges because my last one was losing its stiffness.

In our local shop they had a big box of samples so we picked up *ahem* a few loool and me and my sis bought some plastic bottles in Superdrug to fill them up lol!! and voila! saved £6 lol!

These products are awesomeeeeeeee! Literally

(After all this stuff I realised I forgot hair moisturiser :'( loool )

Lastly!! I know this isn't hair related but if you saw my last blog post you will know I wanted to buy some green tea tablets to help with my metabolism as I work out and eat better and here's what I got instead! These are from Holland & Barrett and the reviews are literally awesome! Looking forward to naturally having more energy without coffee! haha!

What are your hair must haves?

3 Months to hit my goal!

(Note: Pictures not taken by me)
.......well just over 3 months. Now that Christmas is almost done and dusted (Merry Christmas by the way!! :D ) and the New Year is almost upon us I realise how much closer I want to be to my goals, I really want to achieve my fitness goals and be the healthiest I have ever been by March!
What's happening in March? My uni trip to Malta!...

Now I know its a uni trip and we will have some work to do but it's great to have something to work towards! (Plus there is an indoor and outdoor pool in the hotel and I want to make full use of both whilst looking good! haha)

Now I'm not usually one for making New Years Resolutions as I sometimes relate them to something people never end up finishing and I reaaaaally want to get to my goal and stick to it.....so this will be a kind of "Life Time Resolution" lol

So how am I planning to achieve these goals after failing sooo many times?......

Simple really! Just stepping up my work out routine and including more strength exercises, more squats and more lunges and also by eating better and attempting to limit junk to once a week or less.

I also may take these green tea supplements...

I used to take them around 3 years ago and they gave me so much energy and made my skin so clear! They are not diet pills to be depended upon but can boost your metabolism to help you as you work out and eat right! You can purchase them from Holland & Barrett (Try and buy when they have their famous 1p sale on! Buy one and get another pack for a penny! Bargain!)

I will also be drinking a heck of a lot more water!!....

I want really want to lose about 6/7 pounds then tighten everywhere up lol!
Got any 'New Years' goals?

God Bless

I gave my sis a make over :D...

...Not that she needed it! But she wanted one so we went make up shopping and I showed her some pretty cool products not that I'm an expert but I've read up on enough to know whats crap and whats decent lol

What shop did we hit? Superdrug of course! My favourite!

Okay this is my sis :D (left) natural beauty....

and this is what we picked up!

Maybelline FIT Foundation in shade 355, this stuff is awesome! Great coverage and blends to both our skin tones when they are slightly different! (I picked up one too heehee)

We love Sleek! This is their Suede Effect pressed powder, awesome but can look too cakey if you apply too much

If you saw my last post you will see I have this next product too! This one is in the slightly darker shade and is so awesome! It's the corrector and concealer palette by Sleek (again lol), great for under your eyes and highlighting your brows (blend well as it is quite thick)

Also by Sleek is a product from their Blush By 3 Collection which is incredible! The blushes are so pigmented and come out amazing! You have to watch how much colour you use though, for obvious reasons  haha so it's best to start light and build up the colour.

Next up was a brown eye brow pencil by MUA, only £1!

This product is epic! Its MUA's Gel liner and is only £3 creates a gorgeous dark line doesn't fade much at all!

And some little starter brushes , the left set are some cheap ones from Wilkinsons and the right is a blending brush from Superdrug

Before!

After! (left)

Finished look for her 21st birthday!

Doesn't she look pretty! :')
