Eldora lashes! ❤

I was browsing Twitter as I am most of the day haha when I saw a tweet by Eldora Lashes asking if any bloggers or MUAs wanted to review some of their lashes, my reaction....."ME ME ME ME" lol!

It may sound sad but lashes and make up are the kind of things I get excited over lol!

They chose me and sent the lashes which came within the week!

Eldora is a false eyelash company based in Manchester who have a massive range of lashes for an extremely reasonable price! They offer human and synthetic lashes as well as feather ones, fabric ones, bottom lashes, ones with diamonds, ones with colours.....*phew*! So much choice lol

Check out their website here and their blog here.

Here's how they came!

So.Much.Choice

I was only expecting one pack but they gave two! The top pair are more of a daytime set and the bottom are more for nights out but I know me lol I'd probably wear them in the daytime too! They come with an amazing glue which I promise sticks SO well! Even in the gale-force wind we're having in the UK at the moment lol

With the natural lashes (H103's)

Natural lashes

With the glam ones (H159's)

Glam lashes

Here are a few questions from Eldora for me to answer:

1) What was your first impression of Eldora Lashes?
Great packaging, really girly and good quality!

2) How did you find using Eldora Lashes?
Best lash experience to date! They feel long lasting and don't flap in the wind lol

3) Which style Eldora Lashes are your favourite and why?
I love love love the H159 ones! I wouldn't usually go for that type but the style and thickness is amazing!

4) How would you say Eldora Lashes compare to other brands you have used?
The range of lashes are amazing!! So many different types and styles, you're spoilt for choice

5) Can you tell us a little about yourself? e.g. where you're from and how you became an beauty blogger?
I'm from Ipswich but grew up in Billericay and go to uni in Canterbury haha, I became a beauty blogger because I get SO excited over make up and things lol I love to write about it no matter how many people read the posts. It's fun!

6) What is it that you love about working with Make Up and  being a blogger?
I love trying new things and techniques and sharing with other people, the blogging community is awesome because you learn from each other and can tweak techniques to suit yourself

7) Which of the current beauty trends will you be recreating?
The berry lip!!! Love it

8) What are your favourite blogs and magazines for inspiration?
Glamour and More magazine was a favourite (RIP)

9) Is there a celebrity who's beauty look you really admire?
I love how daring Rihanna can be but at the same time I love Gabrielle Union's simplistic beauty

10) Do you plan your beauty look in advance e.g. the night before or is a 'spur of the moment' decision?
Unless its a hugggeee event I tend to be a last minuter, I love experimenting

11) What one beauty product couldn't you live without?
MAC Matchmaster foundation!!! My skin has never looked better

Hope you enjoyed the post!

The Faux Bun

This is a quick little post which basically came about from me wanting to get weave off of my neck and experimenting with up-do's lol ( This can also work for real hair that's long!)
Put the hair up! Way up lol like a pineapple and spread it as though you were going to do a doughnut bun

Crazy face lol

Next tie a scarf around the pineapple hair leaving the ends of the pineapple poked out the bottom of the scarf like a fringe ( I really hope this makes sense LOL!)

 Et voila!
Pretend you don't see my dodgey lash LOL

Curling your hair without heat! Four techniques

I've been asked a couple of times how I curl my hair so I thought I would blog about it!
You can of course use straighteners, curlers or a curling wand but laying off the heat is good for your hair and weaves/extensions plus my straighteners are half broken lol (don't ask)

      Bantu knots

Twirl and knot your hair Craig David style lol (excuse the tracks showing in pic 1 lol)

Braid out

Two cornrows on either side

Result!

When I done 4 smaller cornrows

Flexi rods!
I maaaay have cheated on the heat front with this technique lol my flexi rods are actually Nicky Clarke Heated Flexi Stylers but I promise I got the same results with my old non heat ones.
Picture does NOT belong to me but here's how they look

Flexi result!

Scrunching

I have been using this technique a lot more as this hair has a very pretty curl pattern when wet, I've been experimenting with different types of mousse and my favourite at the moment is Silvikrin Dual- Benefit 2 days Volume & Hold

Aaaand that is how I curl my hair!
Hope you enjoyed :)

Winter trend Berry lips! MUA vs Collection 2000 Gothic Glam

Many people have been sporting Berry/Purple lips this Autumn/Winter and I think it looks gorgeous! I had to get my hands on one but couldn't find the right shade.
I tried two brands that are cheap and cheerful, MUA's Matte range & Collection 2000's Gothic Glam range (it look me a long time to get my hands on this one, was sold out even in Westfield!)
Left is the Collecton 2000 lipstick called 'Revenge' (£2.99) & on your right is the MUA Matte Lippy called 'Wild Berry' (£1.00)

The MUA lipstick comes with a twist off bottom which contains more lipstick! Very good idea

The Line Up
Similar shades in the tube, however you can see MUA's is more Matte

Look at the difference! Collection 2000's has a extremely better colour pay off

MUA
Collection 2000

Can you see the difference!?! I totally can, I had to scribble to MUA lippy on like a crayon just to get this effect lol, however the Collection 2000 was the complete opposite! Great coverage, non drying and lasts most of the day! I love most of MUA's products but this time the winner is........

Have yourself a healthy little Christmas!

The words "healthy" & "Christmas" can often seem like a oxymoron and to be honest...torture lol! But it doesn't have to be.....

I became inspired to do this post when I came across this cute picture on Leona Lewis' blog http://www.lee-loy.com ...

Look at their little facess lol, will deffo be making these this year.

It got me thinking what else can I make and do to make this Christmas special AND healthy at the same time? (So I don't go back to uni like a dumpling lol!!)

Banana loaf!

Instead of the normal chocolate cakes lying around you could try your hand at making a banana loaf/bread/cake! They're really simple to make and you could substitute sugar for honey or get the sweetness from icing Christmas trees on top, its also a great way of using up any old bananas.

Hot spiced drinks!

Instead of the usual calorie laden hot chocolates try a hot spiced drink! My favourite is apple and they make the house smell amazingg.

Salads! and lots of them

Chicken, prawn, fruit.. you can make any kind of salad just pile it high and make it pretty!

kblog.lunchboxbrunch.com
Games!

As well as watching movies all day try some games! Gets the family involved and gets you at least a little bit active lol, dance mats or Nintendo Wii's as well as Xbox Kinect's are great for this or just play good old fashioned charades. You could also play a massive family game of Hide & Seek...epic!

crossfitkindred.com

Duck Duck Goose? maybe not lol
Popcorn!

Instead of too many crisps and snacks buy a packet of popcorn kernels (Tesco do them for around 89p) put them in an airtight container and stick them in the microwave! No oil, no extra gunk and you can get creative with toppings!

simplyrecipes.com

The most important thing is to just enjoy your Christmas! For people away at uni it maybe the first time you've been with all of your family for a long time, so just kick back and enjoy and don't punish yourself too much because of treats!

One month to go!
